Presents the various challenges of obtaining enough internal support to teach about climate change using non-traditional (lecture) teaching approaches. The initiative describes how strong partnerships and collaboration with schools and NGOs outside of Japan were created to teach students about climate change, and how students took agency to teach their peers about the importance of recycling and composting.
